Q. Is your company fully insured, as requested by the Italian Law ?
A. Yes we are. All of our vehicles and drivers have all of the licenses and permits required by Italian Law
Q. What do you mean by tourist guide?
A."A tourist guide is a professional who escorts individuals or groups of people with in order to illustrate the historical, artistic, monumental, landscape attractions as well as the productiove resources of the territory". “ Il Tau “ is an association exclusively composed by local Tourist Guides possessing all the necessary authorizations according to the Italian law. In short a tourist guide is the only professional allowed to conduct guided tours all over the territory that is licensed for, cities, villages, museums, archaelogical sites, churches, etc.
Q. What do you mean by NCC licensed driver?
A. According with the Italian law, all our driver are fully licensed and insured for the transportation of people.

Q. Can I customize my itinerary ?
A. Yes you can. This is exactly what we offer; itineraries that you can customize as you like or we can arrange excursions on demand.
Q. What do you mean by Shore Excursions ??
A. These tours are only for cruisers. We offer these kind of services from the ports of Livorno - La Spezia - Portofino - Portovenere - Genua. On demand we can quote shore excursions from other Italian ports.
Q. What do you mean by Daily Excursions ?
A. It is a tour with pick up/drop off where required (hotels, villas, apartments, etc) that will give you the chance to explore the surrounding areas in a day. Your driver will pick you up at your accommodation, show you the beauty of your itinerary and at the end of the day will drive you back to your accommodation.
A. Let us know your location and our driver will be there to pick you up and take to your destination. We provide these services all over Italy from/to all the most important airports, ports, train station. Forget lost of time, or long wating for taxi and bus in crowdes places, just sit back and let the driver take you to your destination.
Q. What do you mean by Transfer - Tours ?
A. We arrange transfers among main italian cities: Venice, Milan, Florence, Rome. Take the chance to see , during your transfer, the most beautiful sites of Italy, the art towns as well as the monuments or, just, to taste the local specialities. Sometimes a short deviation from your journey could reserve lovely unexpected surprises.
Q. What do you mean by Walking tours ?
A. Sometimes the best way to discover the secrets of the cities and breathe the true Italian atmosphere is by foot. Thanks to our professional licensed tour guides we can satisfy your curiosity for art, visiting museums, monuments, churches etc.
Vehicles
Q - What type of vehicles do you use ?
A - For the shore excursions, daily excursions and transfers we use: 6 seats Mercedes minivan fully equipped - 7 seats Fiat Scudo fully equipped. For the excursions at Carrara marble quarries we use 8 seats Land Rover Discovery 4x4
Prices
Q. Are your prices per vehicle or per person ?
A. All of our prices are per vehicle and NOT per person
Q. What is included or not included in your price ?
A. All of our prices include: a pick up and drop off where required, a private air-conditioned with and an English speaking driver at your disposal for the whole duration of the service, a private tourist guide (when provided), including all taxes, tolls and gasoline.
Our prices do not include meals, tips, entrance tickets to museums when required or other customers expenses.
